Construction Voyer Inc. has been building homes since 1973.

Company founder René Voyer is considered by many in the industry to be a leader in Quebec home construction. The firm has earned many prestigious awards, including the APCHQ Palme Diamant and the title of Builder of the Year at the 2004 Domus gala. For many years, Mr. Voyer was a member of the APCHQ Board of Directors.

Since it was founded, Construction Voyer has built over 5,000 residential units: single-family dwellings, condominiums and rental buildings.

Although Voyer originally earned its reputation primarily in Laval and cities along the northern belt, in 1998 it began expanding its activities onto the island of Montreal. René Voyer's two sons, Jean-François and Pascal, the next generation of the company, have developed an expansion plan to extend activities into new territories.

The interests of the new management team make up an important part of this plan, particularly improving thermal efficiency and energy savings. The firm took measures to achieve these objectives by obtaining Novoclimat Membre Select accreditation from the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec.

René Voyer, le fondateur, est considéré par plusieurs gestionnaires du secteur comme un des leaders de la construction résidentielle au Québec. Son entreprise à d’ailleurs reçu de prestigieuses récompenses, dont la Palme Diamant de l’APCHQ et le titre de Constructeur de l’année au gala Domus de 2004. Monsieur Voyer a été pendant plusieurs années membre du conseil d’administration de l’APCHQ.

Depuis sa fondation, Construction Voyer a bâti plus de 5000 unités d’habitation : des propriétés unifamiliales, des immeubles en copropriétés et des bâtiments locatifs.

Si l’entrepreneur en construction s’est surtout fait connaître à Laval et dans les villes de la couronne nord, il a étendu depuis 1998 son activité sur l’île de Montréal. Les 2 fils de René Voyer, Jean-François et Pascal, qui constituent la relève de la compagnie, ont élaboré un plan d’expansion pour élargir leur activité sur de nouveaux territoires.

Ce plan fait une large place aux intérêts de la nouvelle équipe de direction, à savoir l’amélioration du rendement thermique et l’accroissement des économies d’énergie. L’entreprise a pris les moyens pour atteindre ses nouveaux objectifs en obtenant l’accréditation Membre Select Novoclimat, de l’Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec.
